Anna developed a passion for nutrition while training for her first Half-Marathon. She realized that she deeply enjoyed learning more about food and how it affects the body as well as sharing her new found knowledge with others. She began encouraging her friends and family to eat better and make better lifestyle choices. After seeing how even a small increase in nutrition knowledge made drastic improvements in both her life and the lives of those around her, Anna realized that she wanted to go back to school to become a Registered Dietitian so that she would be better equipped to help people change their lives.
While working on her Nutrition course work, Anna began to notice that there was a lack of excitement and focus on long term care and the health of the elderly. When her Grandmother had to be temporarily moved to a rehabilitation center, Anna saw first-hand the important role that Nutrition played in ensuring that her Grandmother was able to heal quickly and return to her independent lifestyle. Anna decided to work with a local RD in long term care and rehabilitation and found that her skill set and passion for nutrition and caring for others was an excellent match for such an environment.
Anna believes in applying herself fully to her work and community. She is active in both her professional and personal life, providing service to several Professional Organizations, Volunteering in her Community, traveling and embracing different cultures, and maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle with her husband and family.
